The idea of Bondebond humbly came to us following Paula’s graduation in Event Management. While doing her final course work for her diploma program, she teamed up with her fellow students to put together an event. Paula’s role was to find sponsors for their event, and she did it all with great aplomb and remarkable results. The team was impressed with the number of sponsors Paula was able to acquire as well as with the acquirement of gifts certificates, which became the grand prize for the event. As a follow-up, Paula journeyed into the marketing world
Funnily enough, upon completing her Diploma, Paula was joined by David in this wonderful marketing journey, visiting local small businesses. Their adventure consisted of checking out companies featuring both storefront and warehouse. They loved the idea of a complete unit: store in the front, warehouse in the back. That is when David and Paula produced the idea of “Why not be a brand ambassador?”
Months down the road, David and Paula had to relocate to Singapore. During their time there, Paula became acquainted with a fellow entrepreneur in need of a Social Media Assistant, and she loved every minute spend on the job. More travels followed and, during her time in Canada and travelling to the US to visit a friend, the topic of naming the business was brought into discussion. That’s when the initial brand name “Bond Bond” came in the spotlight. Paula fell in love with that name almost immediately, with the mention that she wanted to add a touch of her Portuguese roots and added ‘e’ which is ‘and’ in English, to join the two Bond words, hence creating our business name, Bondebond.
Fun fact, Bondebond was initially Bondebond Branding, as during that period David and Paula’s vision was to assist clients in promoting their brand.
Two years down the road, David and Paula made their return to Canada. Their vision shifted as Paula got into the world of social media and fell in love with the entire process. As for David, he was working as an engineer in a company, managing various roles. Previously, he was a store manager, in charge of inventory, as well as a supervisor for a parking company, in Singapore.
This is when the business evolved from Bondebond Branding to Bondebond, with a sharp vision to support entrepreneurs.
